Try a bus day at Kingswode Hoe School

Kingswode Hoe School is a community day special school catering for boys and girls between
the ages of 5 to 16 years who have moderate learning difficulties.

Essex Travel Training work very closely with the school training students to travel independently
to and from school, then later on to college.

On Wednesday the 23rd June Network Colchester very kindly sent a bus along to the school in Colchester to allow students to experience getting on and off, speaking to the driver, finding out
how to stop the bus, and a lot more.

Many students had never been on a bus before and found the thought of it quite frightening!
Students from years 6 to 10 took part and all enjoyed the experience, many of them will go on
to train with us.
